Guild News WoW AJ still Lives, Heart and Soul
Posted by Beldwain on Fri Sep 04, 2009 18:04:14 (152 reads)

I have been taking a long break from updates on this site. But not without good reason, I was tired of making updates. Call it what you will, brain weary, stressed, or under a cloud of irresponsibility. I needed a break, but I will be back now making updates and treating this more like a blog/news system more than anything.

So, all you AJers out there ex or otherwise thanks for the break!

First thing right off, if anyone wants to commit WoW social suicide and write a story for the site, I will review and post it. Please keep these things in mind, I will NOT post about religion or political topics, there are about a googolplex (10^100) of sites dedicated to those subjects. I will not post stories that deal with things outside of gaming. I will not post personal rants about individuals, only I get to do that. I'm pretty open and easy going about it so start writing, it can be fun and interesting to show your PoV.

Guild News Guild : New Officers and Other Changes
Posted by Beldwain on Wed Feb 18, 2009 19:32:36 (134 reads)

I would like to thank everyone who voted and participated in this latest round of Officer voting for DKs and Hunters. I would like give a warm welcome to the new officers. You have been respectfully voted in by your class so take care of your class as they have taken care of you.

Antishiggy has taken on the newest Officer role as Deathknight Officer, congratulations Antishiggy.

Tactical has accepted the Officer role for Hunters, congratulations Tactical.

I know both of you will do a great job in whipping those two classes into shape.

Next up, the SaA's had a meeting on Monday prior to the announcement of the new officers and selected the new classes to votes in next. This week were voting on Warrior and Rogue officers. I would like to remind everyone that your name will be listed if you qualify to be voted on and your name will be at the bottom of the vote post if you are allowed to vote on that class. As you can see from the last two votes, I do check the validity of the votes and know who is casting votes. If your name is not listed and it is your main class then talk to me (Beldwain) about it.

During this weeks SaA meeting we also talked about rewarding our members for signing up for the raids. The way this will work moving forward is that if you sign up, the RL and RA will pull you into the raid first (you must have gear approved by you officer for that raid). Then when all sign ups are in the raid, you will get a bonus EP added to your points (you must be on time to get the bonus, "on time" means when the RL decides to build the raid). Once that award goes out, any remaining spots will be filled. By implementing this you will receive priority on gear through the proxy of points awarded. For example, if someone is raiding as much as you but not signing up you will receive more points due to your sign up. This will give you a higher priority and better chance to get the gear you want. Don't forget, you can still sign up as possible with a brief note letting us know whats going on, if you make it and are added to one of the raids you still can get the bonus.

As a reminder of some of the recent changes, you must begin to monitor the EPGP channel if you want to see the points or apply for standby. All posts of DPS / HPS or other stats are now in the dps channel, NOT in the raid or guild channels check with your officer for the actual names and passwords.

Thanks everyone for doing a great job and oh yeah, almost forgot again, here is a picture from last month when our 10 man team downed KT in the second week of raiding.

Guild News WotLK - Time for Leveling
Posted by Beldwain on Sat Nov 15, 2008 20:15:52 (138 reads)

Well, the long awaited Wrath of the Lich King is sitting here on my desk, so without much more to say on the matter, everyone have fun and enjoy the trip to level 80. I know I will, I'm not so concerned with being level 80 as I'm a bad leveler, Almitra will tell you that, she knows full well.

Remember, if it's not fun or your getting grumpy for silly reasons, just take a break, we will all get to 80 and see all the content.

Guild News Guild : Lurker Dedicated to Aeowin
Posted by Beldwain on Tue Sep 09, 2008 18:20:16 (71 reads)

On September 3, 2008 Apple Jacks entered SSC again to begin moving forward with "Progression Raiding". The great inspiration that pushed us to rebuild and revitalize our raiders though did not include one we all enjoyed being around, Aoewin. Nothing shakes the foundation of friends and family more then when someone they know gets deployed to a know hostel area of the world in protection of freedom. That is what Aeowin has prepared us all for in the past few months. His leaving, while it came abruptly it was not without time to reflect or have a few beers (or few to many on many occasions for Aoewin, LOL, you F**ken Rock). In the future we will surely miss him and we all can pray in our own ways for his safe return home. So, without further ado, I give you our re-entry into T5 realm of raiding, dedicated to Aoewin, ONE BIG DEAD TUNA, LURKER.

Guild News Guild : Kara Complete Clean in on Night
Posted by Beldwain on Wed May 28, 2008 05:42:26 (59 reads)

Congratulations to all who made it possible for us to manage a complete Karahzan clear in one evening. If you managed to remember to pickup ever badge, you should have walked away with 23 badges total.

Special thanks to our raid leader, Lakfakalle who knew how to push us just the right speed to accomplish what seemed impossible only a few months ago.

As we progress we will now build our 10 man raids to intigrate up to only 2 rotational spots in the groups.

This week we will also run a separate Wednesday night Kara raid that Lakfakalle will be running on his DPS Warrior. This is planned for 8 pm server time for those interested. Don't worry if you miss out on these two week day raids, were planning for more this weekend. We hope to have a full 4-5 kara raids running weekly this summer. This is greatly dependant on everyone's time constraints, and our ability to find successful raid leaders (next news post).

Guild News Guild : Itemstat wowhead.com Integration
Posted by Beldwain on Fri Mar 07, 2008 14:17:09 (148 reads)

New to our site, wowhead.com integration has been achived. One of the things I wanted to do to our site from the start was get that info that is so easy to look at and setup. We how have that system in place.

How do you use it I'm sure your asking. It's easy, when in the forums or requesting to post a new article you simply look at the following example I will use the exact name of the item, "gloves of the incarnate":

Code::
[item]gloves of the incarnate[/item]

[Gloves of the Incarnate]

It's that simple and can be done in our forums or anywhere on our site. One of the reasons for getting this interlinking working is that one of the last pieces to bring over to our new site is the Guild Raiding Loot.

Guild News Guild : Hogger Raid
Posted by sonic777 on Mon Feb 04, 2008 05:36:47 (94 reads)

The other day our guild accomplished something unique and strangely silly. The key to this though, was that it was fun and satisfying.

Sunday, some of the guild gathered on the road near a bridge in Forests Edge, as level ones. The mood was one of antics and it could be seen plainly that everyone who showed were happy to be there as the size of the raid grew from 5 to 10 and beyond.
