Guild News Guild : Kara Complete Clean in on Night
Posted by Beldwain on Wed May 28, 2008 05:42:26 (59 reads)

Congratulations to all who made it possible for us to manage a complete Karahzan clear in one evening. If you managed to remember to pickup ever badge, you should have walked away with 23 badges total.

Special thanks to our raid leader, Lakfakalle who knew how to push us just the right speed to accomplish what seemed impossible only a few months ago.

As we progress we will now build our 10 man raids to intigrate up to only 2 rotational spots in the groups.

This week we will also run a separate Wednesday night Kara raid that Lakfakalle will be running on his DPS Warrior. This is planned for 8 pm server time for those interested. Don't worry if you miss out on these two week day raids, were planning for more this weekend. We hope to have a full 4-5 kara raids running weekly this summer. This is greatly dependant on everyone's time constraints, and our ability to find successful raid leaders (next news post).

Head on over to my gallery in Community >> Photos, that is where my guild picture is:

Thanks goes out to those who helped to make this pic possible. Special thanks goes to Lak for organizing the summoning party. It was a blast to have everyone come out, I know it sucks to stop your dailies but it was really fun making the horde eat shit.

Web Site Upgrades
Posted by Beldwain on Sun Apr 06, 2008 20:46:40 (46 reads)

Alright, the bulk of the website upgrades have been completed. The extras that you might notice are missing for now. They will come back as I complete the changes required for those modules.

One feature I did do during this upgrade was to make the domain name static. Our URL will now no longer reflect the host system that I own.

The security issues (security was too tight, site was un-viewable) that people were experiencing should now be a thing of the past.

The undesirable posting from bots should go away as well.

Enjoy!!

Let me know if you find something that didn't come out in the upgrade.

Guild : New Pallidin Officer
Posted by Beldwain on Mon Mar 31, 2008 16:17:38 (53 reads)

Good News, we have a new officer! On Sunday, the website poll was closed for our two nominated pallidins. AJ has selected our new Pallidin Officer.

Our new officer will now be put into position for a 6 month term. Once reaching that term then the whole thing goes as the original one with one exception. That officer becomes the trainer, mentor, 25 man team leader and backup for the next pally officer.

Yesterday we finalized our newest officer:

Pallidin Officer - Holyadin

Congradulation Holyadin, you have the support of the guild members and leadership to fill the position and engage the guild.

Holyadin will still need to name his assistant, but we will give him time to get settled into this new position.

GM Notice Officers : Pally Officer Vote
Posted by Beldwain on Thu Mar 27, 2008 02:53:37 (62 reads)

Everyone cast your vote for our next officer.

Two Pallidin's were nominated for Officer on Sundays Officers meeting. They were then validated by the SaA and GM to have all the qualifications this week. Finally, they were asked if they were interested and both gave positive answers.

So, now it's up to you, everyone of you, all can vote and should, it's your right as a member. Now choose, Holyadin or Drshakala!

Good luck to both our Pally candidates!

It should show up on the right hand side under the mini calendar!

Raiding Guild : New Raiding Schedules
Posted by Beldwain on Sun Mar 23, 2008 23:13:35 (164 reads)

Sunday, 23Mar08, the GM's, SaA's, and Raid Leaders met to discuss where we are headed and how we can improve on the raids.

The following changes will be made immediately to our raid schedule:

Karahzan is now changed:

Raid X: Tue-Wed 7:00-10:30pm Server Time Signup in GroupCalendar Addon

Raid Y: Thur-Fri 7:00-10:30pm Server Time Signup in GroupCalendar Addon

Both Raids: Pickup for incomplete Kara Mon 7:00-10:30pm

Gruul's Lair: Sat 5:00-10:00pm Server Time Signup in forums and posted on website calendar

For now this is how the schedule will run. This is subject to change.

We are also scheduling Heroic runs for off Kara raid days, if your with X Raid and it's Y raid days you are welcome to signup for Heroic scheduled runs and vis-versa for Y Raiders.

We are hoping that these changes will give everyone more options to work with guild members and opportunity to raid with better synergy. Looking at the times and days people should think about scheduling for both days.

Also, we have a new slogan that everyone should familiarizes themselves with:

SIGNUP - SHOW - STAY

- Signup for the Raids (if your not then you should rethink you involvement with this guild.

- Show up on time (this is one of the big points I have always pushed)

- Stay for the time you signed up (When you signup for a raid, your commiting your time to the other people who you will be raiding with)

So, be sure you signup, show, and stay, it's important to us all.

GM Notice Officers : New Warrior Officer
Posted by Beldwain on Wed Mar 19, 2008 18:30:12 (63 reads)

Good News, we have a new officer! On Sunday, there was an officers meeting where during that meeting everyone is asked for officer nominations. If more than one is nominated then are asked if they want the position and are informed of who they will be running against. The system is very political in nature.

Once the nominated have accepted or rejected then they become candidates. If there are more than one candidate by this point then it is put to vote on this website. If not they are put into position unopposed for a 6 month term. Once reaching that term then the whole thing goes as the original one with one exception. That officer becomes the trainer, mentor, and backup for the new officer.

Yesterday we finalized our newest officer:

Warrior Officer - Ludicar

Congradulation Ludicar, you have the knowledge to fulfill the position and the support of the guild.

Ludicar has yet to name is assistant, but we will give him time to get settled into this new position.

Raiding Guild : Gruul's Raid Schedule
Posted by Beldwain on Sun Mar 09, 2008 13:51:41 (75 reads)

No your eye's do not deceive you! Yes, Almitra has posted the Gruul Raid on the schedule for the end of this week.

Thursday and Friday, there is a 24 hour manditory signup, if we don't have the people/players signed up by 7pm Wednesday, for the amount it takes, then were calling it.

I want everyone to understand this is a large undertaking and the first 25 toon raid that AJ has ever done. That doesn't mean that players haven't been in a 25 man raid, just that this is the first for AJ. You must be in this raid 15 minutes before this raid starts or we are replacing you. If your late, 1 minute, your replaced and EP deducted. 7pm is the start time but 6:45pm server time in the raid requirement. Invites will begin at 6:15pm server time.

Why have I made such a big deal about on time? Let me show you:

1 toon late for 10 min = 10min X 24 players = 4 hours play time total

We are all people who want to have fun, but not at the expense of our valuble time.

If you want to be a part of this raid, then you need to signup at Group Calendar, include notes if needed, and understand that YOU don't need to be completely EPIC to be included in this raid. We need everyone to come foward and show why they are part of AJ.

On the forums we will be requesting everyone to pitch-in for supplies and your abilites to create pots, stat food, and other requirements, even if your not raiding, you can help with that support.

Lastly, everyone needs to goto the forums and read any posted information we have for this raid. Watch videos and in general be prepared. Don't think, I have all the time in the world to get my stuff together, you may end up without or worse buying it from the AH just before a summons.

Have fun, that is key and should always be remembered.
