Apple Jacks Has #1 (Rating by Level Value) Guild
Posted by Beldwain on Sat Sep 27, 2008 18:59:50 (81 reads)
Okay, this isn't really that big of news but it's a nice to know. According to the server polls through www.warcraftrelms.com, Apple Jacks is the #1 Guild on our server on the Alliance side. What this means is that we have finally beat out Vex who has been the long time standing guild.
Census Link on WarCraftRelms.com
This makes me very happy, like a giddy teen who is thinking about his first...
We have the rules and structure that make this guild work well for a such a diverse amount of people.
The members, everyone of you, make this possible.
So, with this and the changes of WoW about to come, we are sitting in a very well aligned position. We can be as good if not better than all the rest.

Guild : Lurker Dedicated to Aeowin
Posted by Beldwain on Tue Sep 09, 2008 18:20:16 (71 reads)
On September 3, 2008 Apple Jacks entered SSC again to begin moving forward with "Progression Raiding". The great inspiration that pushed us to rebuild and revitalize our raiders though did not include one we all enjoyed being around, Aoewin. Nothing shakes the foundation of friends and family more then when someone they know gets deployed to a know hostel area of the world in protection of freedom. That is what Aeowin has prepared us all for in the past few months. His leaving, while it came abruptly it was not without time to reflect or have a few beers (or few to many on many occasions for Aoewin, LOL, you F**ken Rock). In the future we will surely miss him and we all can pray in our own ways for his safe return home. So, without further ado, I give you our re-entry into T5 realm of raiding, dedicated to Aoewin, ONE BIG DEAD TUNA, LURKER.

Raiding Vacation Over
Posted by Beldwain on Tue Jul 29, 2008 04:40:51 (65 reads)
AJ Raiders, your vacation is over, it's time to hunker down and prepare for your A game.
After downing our first boss in SSC we decided that 7 months without a break had been long enough.
The ten friggen commandments of AJ Raiding:
1. Signup if you expect to go (it also gives you priority)
2. If you sign up and it's a raid that needs you and your gear level then you will most likely go.
3. DO NOT throw a fit for not getting to go on a raid, if you do, then take your shit to a new guild, if you want to talk about it, the SaA's and the GM's will talk, G-chat is not the place for it.
4. If you are missed during the invites then you were not making your presence known ( don't be an AFK'er or in a group ) ( we warn about 30 minutes before the raid is formed )
5. Don't talk about your girlfriends or boyfriends problem with your foot odor during boss fights! (keep vent clear)(use your main toon name in vent too)
6. Show up on time doesn't mean, at my bank checking for enchant mats, it means be at the summon stone. ( if you need stuff for the raid, Officers, SaA, and GM's will assist in gathering stuff from the Raiding tab of the Guild Bank.)
7. Do show up with: updated addons, consumables, regents, and REPAIR MONEY!!
8. Don't complain about your repair bill, STFU, we all have one, this isn't gay ass PVP
9. If you think that were about to hand you gear and your not raiding lower instances to get the EP, your just going to have to wait until others have geared up.
10. If you don't know the AJ Rules, then STFU during raids and go back to our Guild Rules, Section V, better yet, go there now GUILD RULES. Know how EPGP works FTW!!
That's it, have fun, kill bosses or die trying!!!!!!!!

Guild : Guild Rules, 1 & 2
Posted by Beldwain on Mon Jun 30, 2008 04:02:28 (65 reads)
As a rule of thumb I generally don't write about anything other than the raiding and guild happenings. So, this one is a little in left field for my general articles. This is something that you will hear me spout on occasions where I think it's appropriate.
Dignity and respect, the first two rules of our guild. This says a lot about our guild members and the way that we handle each other. There are many ways to show these two things. We must also show ourselves to be good stewards of our guild in other areas. This means the intent is still there.
One way is to manage yourself with the way that you handled issues with others. Talk it through, there isn't any reason to start screaming and yelling at someone. You will loose a level of dignity with any peers that are on hand for that kind of action. That is a hard thing to get once it's been lost on squandered screaming. Even when were guided by our rules, it's still difficult.
Another, is the way that you manage your respect in a virtual community that has been what seems to be very few taboo's . The best way to handle yourself is to remember that the people behind every toon is a real person. Someones brother, son, sister, daughter, etc. who have friends and loved ones. The only ties that they have to us is the mutual respect we all strive to receive through our game play / style. Without them, there is no guild.
Lastly, your language skills say a lot. Cursing, using rude language without even knowing your audience shows people that you have no sensibility about you. Get to know the people your playing with, be on your guard about your language until you fully understand who it is your talking with. Vent is not the same as the in game chat, you must remember people play this game in there homes with young people around. You may think it's not your problem, but when we end up having attrition due to foul language, because of some inconsiderate individuals, raiding could come to a halt.
Apple Jacks is a community of people who have come together with mutually / like mindedness towards the game and the manner that we enjoy it the most. We are all different, but were all together in this game. I guess what I'm saying is, lets play nice!

Tuesday's Raid Delivers!!!
Posted by Beldwain on Thu Jun 19, 2008 15:24:32 (57 reads)
This is turning out to be one hell of a week. Starting Sunday with our first downing of Mag and now to followup with a three hitter in one night. Where we had issues in the past with these bosses, we took them down in the style of a well seasoned raiding group who were just out to farm for gear and badges.
Tuesday our raid went like this:
One shot of HKM, no wipes or idiot deaths
First attempt at Gruuls - Bugged out and GM request for reset was put in.
Jumped to Mag's - downed on third attempt ( we can do better )
Back to Gruuls - downed on second attempt
While some higher level guilds can say they would be able to do this without a wipe, I would like to remind everyone that this is the first week we have every run all three bosses in one night. We will get better, gear will get better, and our number of seasoned veterans will maximize.

Guild : Mag's Downed
Posted by Beldwain on Thu Jun 19, 2008 14:56:41 (55 reads)
Magtherdon is dead, Magtherdon went down on our first time attempting him. Though we wiped due to some itchy trigger fingers twice, the official count was one learning wipe and then Mag downed. I have to say that it really seems to be a watch, listen, and follow directions fight, nothing that we can't handle. I have pictures, just not on the computer I'm on. I will add them to this article when the weekend hits. GRATZ to our raiders and the future successes that are to come.

Guild : Gruuls Downed
Posted by Beldwain on Fri Jun 13, 2008 06:07:20 (47 reads)
Congradulations to our raiders led by Lakfakalle, this Thursday, Apple Jacks downed Gruuls. We are now poised to take down Mag. This week marks a milestone in AJ history. A lot of changes were made to our schedule but I believe that the raiders in AJ are ready to move forward to make AJ history.

Guild : Raid Leaders
Posted by sonic777 on Wed May 28, 2008 17:03:15 (52 reads)
As we are now downing bosses in the 25 man raiding area we are wanting to expand our number of 10 man raids. We are looking for Raid Leaders who are willing to learn the ways of our master raid leader Lakfakalle.
You will be expected to manage a complete raid from call outs, switching, notices to officers of events, and EPGP management. Consideration will be conducted on a one-on-one basis and your ability to handle a team of raiders will be evaluated by Almitra, Lakfakalle, and Beldwain.
If your interested in having your goods put on display please message one of us to start your evaluation period now.
