About Apple Jacks Name
Applejacks is a strong alcoholic beverage produced from apples, originating from the American colonial period. It is made by concentrating hard cider, either by the traditional method of freeze distillation, or by true evaporative distillation. The term "applejack" derives from "jacking", a term for freeze distillation.
Applejacks may also refer to a cocktail made with apple liqueur and Jack Daniels whiskey.
Around 1760, George Washington discovered this unique beverage, asked for and received the Laird family recipe and soon introduced Applejack to the Virginia Colony.
With one of our founding fathers being part of this story I know that your not going to disrespect us by saying something about a breakfast cereal known as Apple Jacks.
I know there will be a lot of flak about this name and cereals, but besides the above reason for this name choice, Almitra who is our co-founder has been on this server (Thunderlord) for a long time and has a huge respect "thing" for the founder of "The Mediocre Men", Apple Mask. So with respect to what they have built from the ground up we are in the same pursuit with a name that reflects our respect for the top ranked guild on Thunderlord. As well, Juelz who teamed with Apple Mask to make one of the best arena teams ever. There is a lot of respect for those two players. Thanks Apple Mask and Juelz for being an inspiration.
